Low carb diets, high protein diets, low fat diets, point counting diets… what does it all mean? So far we have not produced lasting results… but we are making tons of money. Why do they fail us? I have discovered they fail because they rely heavily on Will Power and “Ivory Tower” recommendations.

Will Power, what a joke. Do you really think you can control those thick, deeply rooted neural weeds lodged in your brain tissue you have watered and nurtured for decades via “Will power”? That is about as useless as handing out speeding tickets at the Indy 500. Conscious thought, in this case will power, has no chance against this reflexive neural coping mechanism which has entered the deeper more powerful unconscious portion of your mind. Will power relies heavily on external motivation.
Think of it this way, you have just experienced a “life changing” motivational seminar series delivered by a charismatic and sexy presenter (kinda like me . . . but not as sexy). You are ready to make a dramatic change for the better. You purchase hundreds of dollars worth of supportive literature, CDs, and DVDs. Day one: Awesome. You’re up early meditating and eating a healthy breakfast. You go for a run. You are listening to motivational tapes. You’re on a roll. Day two: You’re up early again. This time you’re a little bit sore from your run. Your brain is a little foggy. You’re still on your routine but it just doesn’t seem the same as day 1.
You remember your motivational coach telling you after 21 days a process becomes a habit. What you don’t know is that your new embryonic lifestyle is starting to tick off the true you - that deeply embedded neural tangle which has been developing for tens of thousands of days fed by electric current running through it every time you eat a cookie in the name of stress or boredom. This monster is about to raise his or her ugly head from the primordial soup you call your brain and destroy your fluffy new lifestyle.
Fast forward 3 weeks: You are now where you are supposed to be at 5:00 am - in bed asleep. Your Pop Tarts and juice are waiting for you when you choose to wake up. The books and CDs are put away where you don’t have to be reminded of the life you were supposed to lead. You are a few pounds heavier now. Things are back to normal. Just like your monster likes it. How foolish you were to think you could run away from something so powerful that is embedded into your brain tissue. Been there. Done that. I will show you how to weaken and damage that neural mess in your brain without damaging the healthy tissue around it.
