The Secret is Sacrifice
You prepare the sacrifice. He will bring the fire!
One of the greatest brains of our time, Richard Hawkins, wrote a book called the The Selfish gene. Being afflicted with a vaccine damage brain and the attention span of a hummingbird on heroine I have not been brave enough to venture into his writings. I would probably experience a nose bleed and brain freeze simultaneously within the first paragraph of Mr. Hawkins writings. However, being bless with some amazing secular friends who are more than willing to translate for me the writings of the amazing atheist pontifications I was provided the cliff notes version of his works with the added benefit of the translators interpretation and applications of said works.
I sense my secular friends feel my belief in an invisible God is a mental affliction which they attempting to “save” me from through the teaching of Dawkins and others. I keep telling them I am too far gone, but they care too much about me to let me go. I have some great friends.
The books premise, as interpreted by my left hemi dominate, accumulator, protein processor with the Omen of Obesity secular friend, was that we are genetically driven to survive and insure, at all cost the preservation of our genetic continuity. Our genes are striving for immortality! I asked about sacrifice. Touchy subject…but with an explanation.
“Tom, you will sacrifice yourself to insure that your offspring survive. Yes, this at first seems to go against the theory of self-centered selfish gene….but it makes all the sense in the world when you go beyond the survival of just the organic organism or what you call the vessel…and through into the survival of your “seed” your genetic continuum. This explains “sacrifice” and “love for another” as a means of preservations of our genetic seed! Makes sense. Then I stepped in it: “But what about Jesus?” “What about people who have died for me that aren’t kin to me. Those that sacrificed everything for me that had no genetic relationship to me? What about those people? What about Jesus? Tom, isn’t time for your medication?
For a selfish man(gene) does not receive spiritual things, for they are madness to him, and he is not able to know, for they are known by The Spirit.
I didn’t let him off that easy. Wait, this is an amazing theory, but if it is full truth shouldn’t people like myself self and other nut balls who are so spiritually delusional be extinct? Tom, this is going to hurt, but your belief in God and Jesus is just a mental crutch to help you get through your day. It is simply a survival technique for those of lessor mental capacity .( I think he just called me stupid). Your faith is a coping mechanism just like your alcohol abuse was earlier in your life( tell me how you really feel). Tom, the truth is most “believers” don’t really believe in a god, they believe in a belief in a god. They think it is good to have a moral barometer and an invisible accountability partner. To be quite honest with you Tom, I believe it is good for society in general as well….as long as those types people are not in a place of major decision making…leaders and such. Your problem Tom is that you actually believe this spiritual stuff” it is real to you like those nuts that crashed the planes into the twin towers. Your faith has become a disease and I pray that it doesn’t adversely effect your patient care and business decision making process.
You pray? To whom? He rolled his eyes. Since I stepped in it I decided to drive in all the way:
“If my belief in Jesus Christ is a disease…then I pray I get sicker and sicker everyday!”
Brother, the same reason I am still alive to speak with you today is the exact same reason your theory suggested that I should be dead and lone gone! It is the same reason that the name of Jesus Christ 4014 later as such power!

Never place new wine in old wine skins. Before you can receive a new awareness your old skin must be stripped off and replaced with new. If done in any other way your brain will reject what is soon to come.
