Skip the Botox Go directly to DeTox: Dr. Tom’s Skin & Sinus Protocols

Your skin is an organ of mass protection! It is the largest organ of your body and covers up to 20 square feet of surface area. I view it as the most important barrier you have against diseases, decay, and filthy environments. Think of your skin as two barriers. The internal barrier makes up the lining of your skull, sinuses, oral cavity, throat, mucous membranes, respiratory tract, stomach lining, directive tract, colon and rectum. The external barrier protects us from radiation damage, water damage, oxidative damage, viral and bacterial assaults… you know the stuff that is sagging, lagging, wrinkling and crinkling a.k.a cellulite.

Types of Attacks against your skin:

Weight & Water Fluctuations:

Many of our Metabolic Boot Campers have changed their body mass by as much as 100 pounds. A young man called me from Florida and reported that he had reduced his waist line from 52 to 32 inches following MBC protocols. WOW, that’s a 20 inch reduction around his mid line alone! He had a new problem…all that “extra” skin was hanging from his now very lean stomach. I referred him to a plastic surgeon who end up taking off 17 pounds of excess skin. It really isn’t excess skin…the skin a been stretch so badly during his season of morbid obesity that it had lost all of it structual integrity and was unable to snap back after all that fat loss.

You don’t have to become morbidly obese loose your skin integrity….pregnancy, prednisone use, lactation and fluid retention issues can cause a lot of skin damage as well.

Drug Damage

Skin necrosis is the term used to describe dead skin cells, which blacken and peel off. Most chemotherapy drugs are toxic when exposed to the skin. Drugs that are meant to be delivered into veins and arteries may leak into the subcutaneous tissue (extravasation).

There are two types of skin necrosis reaction:

  • Irritants – The chemotherapy agent causes a phlebitis (inflammation of veins) and chemical cellulitis (inflammation of the deeper layers of the skin).
  • Vesicants or blistering agents – The chemotherapy agent causes severe tissue necrosis (death of cells), resulting in ulcers and eventual scar formation.

Which drugs are responsible?

Most chemotherapy drugs are irritants if they extravasate. Doxorubicin is the most vesicant and can cause necrosis, ulceration and thrombosis (blood clots). The health of your lever “reflects” in the radiance of your skin. Some drugs can cause liver damage with small doses. Many medications can damage a normal liver. Many different drugs can cause drug-induced skin damage. Painkillers, antibiotic, anti-inflammatories and fever reducers that contain acetaminophen are a common cause of liver inflammation leading to skin damage.

Womb Wounds

Some of you were blessed to have an amazing mother who before your actually creation careful prepare her blood, brain , and body. She knew that you would be “cooking” inside of her and she want the ingredients in her womb to be of the highest quality possible, perfectly balanced and in accordance with the original recipe. She worked hard to obtain and sustain this optimal hormonal environment for your perfect development…And other of us had mothers that….well…but a little less effort into the process…

Fatty deposits( cellulite),and collapsing collagen matrix( wrinkles, bags, loose hanging skin) have both genetic and epigenetic origins. Thanks MOM!
